Scholarship Applications​

 

We partner with School of Rock Aurora to provide music scholarships. Scholarships are need-based and awarded for all instruction that School of Rock provides: lessons, camps, and performance programs (Rock 101 and Headliners).

Scholarship awards are dependent on number of applicants and PRO's available funds

 

Scholarships are awarded based on financial need. A scholarship committee considers anonymous applications, and determines recipients and awards. Scholarships are administered by PRO.

APPLICATION TIMELINES:

​

For performance programs starting in:

 

• February 2024 (Spring 2024)
  Applications due January 5, 2024
   

• June 2024 (Summer 2024)
  Applications due May 6, 2024
   

• September 2024 (Fall 2024)
  Applications due August 1, 2024

All applications will be considered, but ones submitted in accordance with the timeline above will have the best chance at receiving awards.

In 2014, Tim Reece opened SoR Aurora with owners Karla and Ron Willard. As the assistant general manager, he was instrumental to the program's success. 

​

On May 15th, 2017 Tim lost his 9 month battle with cancer. He is remembered by our music community as an inspiring teacher, thoughtful mentor, and devoted friend. As a way to preserve his legacy as an artist and teacher,Tim's family and PRO created the Timothy Christopher Reece Scholarship Program.
